        ALTITUDE & WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS

Lijiang is situated at 2,400m (7,874 ft) above sea level, which may cause mild altitude sickness for some visitors.

        • Stay Hydrated - The dry climate can cause dehydration—carry a water bottle.
        • Acclimatize Gradually - Take it easy on the first day to avoid dizziness or headaches.
        • Altitude Sickness Medication - Consider bringing medication if you are prone to altitude-related symptoms.
        • Sun Protection - Due to the high elevation, UV exposure is stronger—wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.

        CULTURAL ETIQUETTE & LOCAL TIPS

        • Respect Local Traditions - The Naxi people have unique customs— avoid touching religious artifacts or Dongba script displays.
        • Photography - Some locals prefer not to be photographed—always ask permission first.

          MOTION or ALTITUDE SICKNESS REMEDIES

          • Bring altitude sickness pills or natural remedies (ginger, mints).
